Only Skin Deep? Tattooing in World Cultures

People all over the world have marked the skin permanently with dark pigments for thousands of years. In this exhibit, student curators explore why ancient mummies, members of traditional societies, and Wake Forest students are tattooed and with what designs. The traditional implements, historic illustrations, and contemporary photographs on display will excite tattoo aficionados and those just curious about a widespread custom. Tues. - Sat., 10:00am - 4:30pm. Admission is free.
